Travel Registered Nurse – PCU

Position Overview:

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a mixed-acuity PCU and Med/Surg patient population in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Schedule:

• Night shift

• 3x12-hour shifts

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays

• Traveler will be required to float to different units within the organization as needed

Compensation:

• Gross: $2,359 per week

• W2: $24.50 per hour

• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

• Locals accepted at the same rate

Contract Details:

• Start Date: February 23, 2026

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling

• Orientation: 24 hours

Unit Overview:

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with Med/Surg crossover

• Adult patient population

• Estimated patient ratios: 1:4

Clinical Focus:

• PCU-level monitoring

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring

• Escalation of care and rapid response utilization

• Floating to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed

• Minimum of 2 years of PCU or Med/Surg RN experience required

• PCU experience preferred; Med/Surg RN experience considered

• BCLS certification required

• Epic charting experience required

• Ability to float within the organization as needed

• Previous travel experience preferred

• Valid compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
