 The SUE Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing subsurface utility engineering projects from start to finish. This role involves overseeing field crews, ensuring compliance with industry standards, managing budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


What you will do:

  • Project Management: 
    • Plan, schedule, and manage SUE projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Technical  Oversight: 
    • Ensure compliance with ASCE 38-22 standards and applicable regulations.
    • Review and approve deliverables, including utility maps, CAD drawings, and reports.
  • Team Coordination: 
    • Supervise and support field crews performing utility locating and data collection.
    • Provide guidance and training to team members as needed.
  • Client  Relations: 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Prepare and deliver project updates, reports, and presentations.
  • Quality &  Safety: 
    • Maintain rigorous quality control and safety standards across all project activities.

Who you are:

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering, with at least 2 years in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of SUE technologies (GPR, electromagnetic locators) and ASCE 38-22 standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and GIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
