The Opportunity
Cordova is proud to partner with a global leader in agribusiness and food production to identify a high-caliber IT Project Manager. In this role, you will represent Cordova’s commitment to excellence by guiding our client’s project teams through the entire lifecycle—from initial discovery to final closing.
As the primary project owner, you will drive the adoption of technology solutions that power global operations, including large-scale ERP implementations. We are looking for a leader who can balance technical rigor with the ability to motivate teams and facilitate high-level decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Strategic Execution
End-to-End Management: Own the schedule, budget, and deliverables for assigned IT projects, ensuring they stay on track and within scope.
Methodology Expertise: Utilize Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid frameworks to deliver technology solutions aligned with the client’s strategic goals.
Full Lifecycle Guidance: Lead planning meetings, facilitate scrum events, and manage the critical go-live and warranty phases.
Continuous Improvement: Conduct retrospectives and ensure seamless knowledge transfer to support teams post-implementation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Requirements Discovery: Facilitate workshops, surveys, and site visits to elicit and simplify functional business requirements for stakeholder buy-in.
Liaison Excellence: Serve as the bridge between internal business units, IT management, and external vendors.
Executive Transparency: Monitor and report project health, risks, and progress to both internal and external executive sponsors.
Agile Transformation & Risk Mitigation
Mentorship: Support the client's project teams in adopting Agile values and principles.
Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop robust mitigation and contingency strategies.
Impediment Removal: Foster a productive environment by identifying and resolving team roadblocks quickly.
Candidate Qualifications
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: 5–7 years of progressive IT Project Management experience in a corporate environment (4+ years of relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree).
ERP Focus: Experience with SAP ERP (ECC, S4 HANA) implementations is heavily preferred.
Global Scope: Experience within large, multinational organizations is highly desirable.
Industry Context: Experience in agribusiness, supply chain, or manufacturing IT projects is a significant plus.
Certifications & Technical Skills
Certifications: PMP or CSM preferred; SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP, or Certified Product Owner are major advantages.
Software: Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Project.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to align IT projects with broader business strategies and contribute to long-term IT roadmaps.
