Senior Payroll Contractor (Immediate Start)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Payroll Professional to step in and manage complex, multi-state payroll operations. This role requires a seasoned, hands-on payroll expert who can quickly assume responsibility for high-volume payroll processing with minimal onboarding. Must have Construction experience and have worked with unions and prevailing wage. This need arises due to temporary staffing gaps on the payroll team, and the right person will help stabilize the function while supporting HR and leadership. 

Key Responsibilities

• Process multi-state, multi-entity payroll
• Manage end-to-end payroll using ADP Workforce Now
• Handle payroll for union employees and construction industry workforces
• Prepare and submit certified payroll and prevailing wage reports
• Ensure accuracy in wage calculations, deductions, garnishments, and fringe benefits
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and external partners
• Prepare and validate payroll reports

 Required

• 5+ years of senior-level payroll experience
• Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now
• Experience managing multi-state payroll
• Construction and union payroll experience required
• Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements
• Ability to step into a fast-paced environment with minimal training
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and follow-through

Preferred

• Experience with prevailing wage requirements 
• Previous leadership or payroll oversight experience
